Program: Canyon

Also called Program 827

US military satellite program. Seven satellites were launched from 1968 to 1977 aboard Atlas Agena. They were developed by the USAF for the NRO.

The program is thought to be aimed at signal intelligence, (the first in synchronous orbit), and for early warning.
