Focused Investigations of Relativistic Electron Burst Intensity, Range and Dynamics

Cubesat program let by multiple US universities: Montana State University, University of New Hampshire, The Aerospace Corporation and LANL (Los Alamos National Laboratories) known as the Firebird consortium. Funded by the NSF. Part of NASA's ELaNa program.

The aim of the program is the study of the Van Allen radiation belts especially its electron microbursts.

The mission uses 1.5U cubesats of 2 kg
