Remote sensing program initiated by France. Part of the Ofeo program as the optical component. Spain took a 3% stake in the program in 2005.

The Pleiades system will have a dual military and commercial mission.
Each satellite should cost EUR 314 million

Pleiades Neo

Status: first pair planned for 2020, another one in 2022
A set of 4 satellites is to be launched. 30cm resolution. Images are to be streamed into an online platform called OneAtlas. Will download at speeds upto 1.8 Gbps through the SpaceDataHighway
