Program: SAR Lupe

Also called SAR Scope

German military remote sensing program. Went operational on 1st Dec 2007.

Five identical satellites are to be built by OHB System, 770 kg each. Constellation has 3 polar orbital planes and satellites are spaced 65° apart. 1 m resolution.

Program worth 733 million EUR.

In Jul 2002, France and Germany decided to research how to technically join their 2 programs ( Helios and SAR Lupe).
