Equipped with a new payload for a highly upgraded meteorological observation
mission. Colour images will be generated and spatial resolution will be twice
as detailed as
Mtsat 2.
Takes an image every 10 minutes. Can also cover the whole of Japan in 2.5
minutes intervals.
