To perform detailed studies of the physics and the chemistry of the
interstellar medium by observing emission from key species. It will also study
the stratosphere and mesosphere.

Still operational in early 2010.

and the radiometer are cryogenic and fed by a 1.1 m gregorain telescope.

mm & 0.5 mm).
