Result of a partnership between DLR and Astrium. Financed by a public-private
partnership, with DLR contributing 56 million EUR and Astrium investing 26
million EUR; 3 million EUR is expected to be generated through resale of excess
payload capacity on the satellites. Worth 85 million EUR.
In 2010, the cost of the entire mission is estimated at EUR 165 million.
Infoterra, an Astrium subsidiary, will market the data.
To create a global digital elevation model with unprecedented accuracy. 1 m
resolution in spotlight mode.
